There is such a statement that only dogs with rabies will spread rabies after bite, so as long as you observe the bite dog for 10 days, if it can survive, it can rule out the possibility of human infection. This statement is indeed a certain reliability, but it is still not recommended in China.
In fact, to be precise, it should be bitten by a dog with a rabies virus in the saliva, so that the rabies vaccine is needed. The saliva with rabies virus, indicating that the dog's rabies have already developed. Most of these dogs will show obvious symptoms of rabies (changes in temperament, bite people, dirty hair, etc.), which is not difficult to identify. Of course, it is not excluded that a few dogs perform normal when biting people, but it has already developed. Because the mortality rate of rabies in human diseases is 100%, my country requires that no matter how the dogs are biting, as long as they are bitten by a dog, they should go to the hospital for vaccination.
Under normal circumstances, rabies vaccine needs to be arranged 5 doses within 28 days, and its money cost and time cost are relatively high. Therefore, the World Health Organization recommends a 10 -day observation method -the bite dog observes 10 days without death, it can be considered that the dog's saliva does not contain virus when biting, and the bite can terminate the continued vaccination of rabies vaccine. There are two benefits of this observation:
1. Can be vaccinated less vaccine, saving money and time
2. There is no rabies virus in the dog's saliva, so the bite can put down the heavy spiritual burden.

The 10 -day observation law has been proven effective in all countries around the world, including India and Thailand, which is much more serious than rabies than in my country, but it is not recommended in China. The reason may be:

2. Chinese health workers may not be able to master the correct method of 10 -day observation.
Since the rabies vaccine is to be injected, some people may be tangled on the selection of imported vaccines or domestic vaccines. In fact, we don't need to worry too much about this problem. In terms of rabies vaccine, domestic vaccines can basically be placed on the same way with international mainstream vaccines, even better than some imported vaccines. For example, after the 2010 version of the Pharmacopoeia was promulgated, a certain technical indicator of the rabies vaccine was much higher than the 2005 Pharmacopoeia. A famous imported rabies vaccine was temporarily refused outside the country because it could not meet my country's new quality standards; You can easily meet the new quality standards and become the mainstream of the market.
So as long as it is a regular hospital, we basically don't have to worry too much about the quality of rabies vaccine. There is no need to think that the quality of the domestic production is definitely not good, so I choose the imported vaccine. In addition, many owners will ask for vaccination if they ask. Generally speaking, if it is just scratched by the dog's teeth and there is no symptoms of bleeding, we can do cleaning and disinfection ourselves without having to vaccinate. However, if you have bleed, then it is more secure to get the vaccine.
