Deworming of puppies is actually a very routine but a topic that is often asked by the university. The health of dogs is closely related to the health of family members.
It is really important to deworm dogs. Dogs will have various symptoms after infection, and they will actually have different degrees of harm to their health. How to identify whether dogs need deworming? How old is a puppy?
1. How to deworm puppies
Dog deworming is divided into internal and external deworming. Dog deworming is mainly for roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, toxoplasma, heartworms and other parasites hidden in dogs' bodies. Some dogs may eat raw meat.
If you choose deworming for dogs, it is usually in the form of drops and sprays. It is more convenient to use. Open the drops, remove the hair on the back of the dog's neck, and drip all the medicine in a straight line.
There are two forms of deworming medicine in dogs, which are drops and oral, but I personally prefer oral deworming. Dog Xinbao is a deworming medicine for dogs. The efficacy of oral administration is fully exerted.
There is also a kind of deworming in vitro and in vivo that is super reliable. It was recommended by my veterinarian. It can be done in vitro and in vivo with a single pill or beef grain flavor. Although it is a little expensive, it is really suitable for lazy people like us.
2. Puppy deworming time
For puppies, the first deworming can be carried out when they are one month old. After adults, if they go out to play frequently, it is recommended to deworm them once a month. Domestic dogs can be dewormed until March.
3. What are the signs of deworming the puppy?
●If the dog eats normally but the body is thin and the weight has not changed, it may have internal parasites.
●The stool is abnormal, the dog's stool is not shaped or has small white spots, there are bloodstains, it may be infected with roundworms and tapeworms.
●The dog often itches a certain part, rubs the butt on the ground, and when the skin is red, swollen, and hair loss, check whether it is infected with external parasites.
4. What to pay attention to when deworming puppies
● Choose deworming products with relatively mild and safe ingredients. The body resistance of puppies is not as good as that of adult dogs. To avoid the secondary damage caused by deworming drugs, it is recommended to choose deworming products as mild as super trustworthy.
●When there are no symptoms, the dog should be dewormed on time, so that it can be prevented in advance. High-risk internal parasites like heartworm are difficult to cure once infected, so prevention is the main thing.
●Do not deworm the puppy immediately after the dog is sick or has just been vaccinated! It should take at least a week.
●If you encounter a tick, don't pull it out by hand. You can use Super Trust or Flareon for deworming. Both of them can eliminate ticks within 48 hours.
